sunflower festival ontario

There's a huge sunflower festival in an Ontario field this month

You can attend a huge festival devoted entirely to sunflowers in Ontario this summer.

Caledon's Davis Family Farm is back this summer with its annual Sunflower Festival, where you can celebrate the much-loved late-summer blooms.

Running from July 27 until Aug 18, you can wander the family-run farm's "field of dreams": a kilometre-long field packed full of bright, yellow blooms.

You'll also be able to fill your feed by snapping pictures at the plentiful photo ops set up in the field, come face-to-face with exotic animals, chill out with a luxury picnic spread and even take a yoga class in the field.

On Friday, August 4, Davis will also be hosting its inaugural Sunflower Soiree, where you can catch the sunset among the blooms while listening to live music and sipping on sunflower sangria (yes, that is a real thing).

You can book your visit to Davis Family Farm now, with adult tickets going for $13, kids between 6 and 13 for $5 and children under 5 for free.

The Sunflower Soiree is separately ticketed and will set you back $20, but it does include a complimentary glass of that sunflower sangria I was talking about.
