Low-cost airline is having a huge sale with flights from Ontario to Europe from $109

It's finally summer in Toronto and the city is teeming with activity, but that doesn't mean it's too early to start planning a getaway for when the colder weather returns.

For jet-setters considering a European jaunt in the coming months, a new low-cost airline based out of Iceland is having a massive sale on fall and winter fares, and flights from Ontario start at just $109.

PLAY Airlines' flash sale kicks off today, July 2, and boasts cheap hauls to various destinations from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, which is around an hour's drive outside of downtown T.O. — not much farther than our own city's main international hub.

With travel dates in September, October, November and December, there are tons of options at prices far lower than you'd usually pay for a Euro adventure. (An added perk: no summer crowds!)

For the best bargain, you can head to the carrier's home base of Reykjavík, Iceland betweeen Sept. 2 and Dec. 15, 2024 for as low as $109 CAD per direction.

Or, grab promo flights to Dublin, Ireland; London, England; Berlin, Germany; or Paris, France, starting at $139 CAD if you book a trip during applicable dates between Sept. 5 and Dec. 15.

The tickets are for the airline's basic bundle, which includes taxes and other fees. Flyers should travel light, though, as the fares do not include baggage beyond a personal item.

All of PLAY's flights also include a stopover at Keflavík International Airport to stretch your legs and break up your journey, which you can extend at no additional flight costs if you want to explore Iceland as well.

The deal runs online until July 8.
