Radar: Space and Time at the Steamwhistle, Local Alt-Rock at the 'Shoe, Holyblueghost and Harley Card, No More Words, Brockton Writers' Series

ART | Space and Time
Drinks, art, and music are a winning combination that goes back to the dawn of civilization. Tonight this tried and true formula is put into practice yet again at "Space and Time:" a group show of textile artists, as well as illustrators, with music provided by Best Man and The Ethers. Check the FB event wall for some "sneak peeks"
The Steamwhistle Brewery and Gallery (255 Bremner Blvd), 7PM FREE

MUSIC | Local Alt-Rock at the Horseshoe
Another awesome lineup courtesy of The 'Shoe. Local talents Laganza, One Divided, Splicet and Tonella will showcase their edgy rock talents for your pleasure.
The Horseshoe Tavern (370 Queen Street West), 9PM $4.00

MUSIC | Holyblueghost + Harley Card
A great double-bill at The Tranzac Club's Southern Cross Lounge tonight. First up at 10pm, an interesting trio led by ubiquitous guitarist and sometime CIUT radio mainstay Nilan Perera (also on vocals), with Mark Segger on drums, and Steve Ward rounding out the lineup on...trombone. The very combination of instruments in a "trio format" is enough to arouse your musical curiosity! At 11pm, singer/songwriter Harley Card takes over.
The Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Avenue) 10PM PWYC

ART | No More Words
A new group exhibition opens today at Gallery 1313. "No More Words" features the work of Adrienee Fonda and Jean-Phillipe Finklestein, both of whom studied their craft in France. The exhibit opens this afternoon at 1pm, and runs until 6pm. The official reception is tomorrow evening.
Gallery 1313 (1313 Queen Street West), 1PM FREE

LITERATURE | Brockton Writers' Series
This great reading series is held monthly, and encourages networking. There is also an "open mic" segment, as well. This evening's gathering is officially dubbed, "Brockton Writers Series #15" and features the work of Mary Frances Coady, Janice Goveas, Nicole Tanguay and Carlyn Zwarenstein.
St. Anne's Church (270 Gladstone Avenue) 6:30PM FREE
