LECTURE | Trampoline Hall
The latest installment of Toronto's favourite amateur lecture series drops tonight, with a trio of talks on some intriguing topics. Steve Fisher, Jen Goodhue, and Shanon Gerard will sound off on the topics of "Crafts," "Other Lives," and "Whales" respectively. As usual the only common thread will be that all three speakers are not experts on their chosen subject. Comedian and playwright Becky Johnson curated this month's show, and Misha Glouberman hosts.

COMEDY | Launch of the Kids in the Hall: When Death Comes to Town
Legendary comedy troupe the Kids In the Hall return to the CBC airwaves tomorrow night with a brand new mini-series about murder in small town Ontario. While monologues about menstruation, cross-dressing, and graphic gay humour are not as shocking as they were when the Kids debuted in the late 1980s, the new series proves that the hilariously twisted imaginations that have earned the Kids a place in this country's cultural history are still intact. The show airs tomorrow night at 9 pm, but the CBC is offering a free sneak peek at their HQ today with an event featuring Jian Ghomeshi and the Kids themselves.

THEATRE | Pandemonium Machine
In this one-night only performance, 10 artists will push the boundaries of clowning in an unpredictable comedy show inspired by everything from Shakespeare to stand-up to opera. Christel Bartelse. Melissa D'Agnostico, and Helen Donnelly join forces with some of the top clowns in the clowning business to unleash a show that promises to be bizarre and risque. Definitely not suitable for kids.

FILM | Free Screening of When In Rome
Innis Town Hall presents this free screening of a yet-to-be-released romcom starring the super foxy Kristen Bell. Bell plays Beth, a young New Yorker who's unlucky in love (cause hot chicks have the toughest time finding guys, right?) until she heads to Rome, where she finds some coins in a magic fountain and suddenly she's got more suitors than she can shake a stick at. Hilarity, presumably, ensues. It's not exactly Fellini, but hey, it's free. Plus Will Arnett's in it, so it can't be all bad.

MUSIC | Free Ukelele Lessons
Get your uke on tonight with the first in a series of free music lessons brought to you by the kind folks at the cujamWest. There are few things more satisfying than playing an instrument well, and the four-string uke is by far one of the easiest instruments to learn. Instructors Steve McNie and Dan Misener promise that by the end of three lessons you'll be able to play your favourite songs by the likes of the Magnetic Fields, Modest Mouse, and Lykke Li.
