Dress Like Princess Leia, Win Free Movies

You've done it before, so don't be afraid to admit it: you've lined up in costume for a movie premiere. Whether it's dressing up as a jedi knight, a hobbit, or a pirate, almost everyone I know has donned a movie character costume before.

Lucky for you, this Friday, your slightly-unhealthy obsession with on-screen personalities can win you free movies.

The new AMC Theatre across Dundas Square (at the corner of Dundas and Yonge) is celebrating its grand opening by giving movie-watchers the chance to win free flicks for a year. Just show up for a film screening at the theatre this Friday, March 28 at 5pm dressed up as your favorite movie character, and if you're one of the first 100 people there, you get to watch 52 movies on their tab over the next year.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing some of the more unconventional costumes: anyone up for dressing up as Derek Zoolander?

I'm not sure what I think about the whole new look of Dundas Square, but as a film aficionado, I really can't argue with free movies. Time to start looking for that Buzz Lightyear costume I stashed away a few years ago...
