CanCon at RESFEST

RESFEST is gearing up for their biggest year yet. It first came to Toronto in 2003 and Canada loved it so much they decided to hit Vancouver and Montreal as well. (They also produce screenings throughout the year; Tim saw one just a couple weeks ago).

The festival presents short films, animation, and music videos (you may remember their Scene Not Heard screening at the WSFF). The fest arrives in Toronto on October 27th.

Want in on the action, my wee budding filmmakers? Although the submission date for the whole fest came and went back in May, RESFEST is presenting a little something called CanCon, and they want YOU to submit - as long as your piece was completed after August 2004.

All you need to do is send them a DVD or VHS of your piece (along with all your contact info and 10$ cheque or money order) before September 30, 2005. Their address is:

RESFEST Canada
C/O CanCon Submissions
6 Shanly Street, Unit 1
Toronto, Ontario M6H 1S1

They'll be announcing the chosen pieces a week before the festival comes to Toronto. (So around October 20th).
