TTC extends WiFi to more subway stations

The rollout of TTC WiFi has quietly extended far to the west over 2016, with TCONNECT available all the way from Castle Frank to High Park. Officially speaking, there are still some gaps between these points, but having travelled regularly on this portion of the line, I've consistently been able to grab a signal at each along this stretch.

Interestingly, Dufferin was WiFi-free long after it was possible to get online at Lansdowne and Dundas West, but that was account of the extensive work required to prepare the station for the pending installation of PRESTO fare gates. With the old-school turnstiles now removed, installation of these gates is now imminent and the WiFi is consistently available.

The eastern portion of Line 2 has witnessed as slower rollout, though the recently updated Main Station now boasts the technology. TCONNECT is also in place at Old Mill Station far to the west, but not at Runnymede or Jane. Those gaps are expected to filled in by the end of spring, with the entire system projected to be complete by 2017.
