York U mistakenly sends applicants acceptance letters

Did York University pull a Steve Harvey? That's what many are asking after the Toronto school mistakenly accepted 500 first year students.

The Toronto Star reports that the students were supposed to receive an email acknowledging their application and not an acceptance letter.

York apologized to those affected in yet another email. And, the university's director of student recruitment and admission, Jock Phippen, told the Star that the 500 students weren't rejected from York outright. The school just hasn't made all of its admissions decisions yet.

Though, many were quick to jump on Twitter poke fun at the university's latest mistake. Here's what they had to say.
