Morning Brew: Prostitution Law Questioned, No Tunnel to Island Airport, Health Minister Resigns, Man Robbed of $100,000

What's happening in the GTA (and sometimes beyond):

Should prostitution be decriminalized in Canada? The Ontario Superior Court in Toronto is hearing arguments from sex workers suggesting that our laws are confusing, and don't allow for safe working conditions. Would Toronto become a hotbed destination for sex tourism if the laws were changed, or would little change in this regard?

Citing the looming deadline for application for stimulus funding for infrastructure, the idea of building a pedestrian tunnel to Toronto's island airport has been shelved for now. I was hoping it would be approved, because taking that 90-second ferry ride is silly, and increasing business commuter traffic through the city center airport is a good thing in my opinion.

Who carries $100,000 in cash on their person? A man in Vaughan was reportedly robbed of a heck of a lot of money by a group of five men wearing balaclavas. Something about this report is fishy. It sounds to me like some sort of setup or inside job.

David Caplan, the provincial Minister of Health, has resigned just ahead of the release of the auditor's report on highly problematic eHealth spending abuses. Why is it that all levels of government treat money like it grows on trees?

A crash victim was rescued by a couple of OPP officers when her car ended up submerged in water in a culvert near the 407 and Dufferin. Latest word is that she's in serious condition.
