What's happening in the GTA:

Confirmed: People who live in urban areas like Toronto, especially those near water, still have an aversion to blue and a thing for red. Exception: The Smurfs that fell on their heads and have relocated en masse to Thornhill.

Honest question: At the end of election night, and after once again taking seats in Toronto, do Jack and Olivia make out, or do they high five and crash immediately?

Parkdale-High Park: Now that she's been beaten out by Gerard Kennedy, does Peggy Nash quit politics, pick up a guitar, and take up that new career in alt country?

Shocking: Canada kinda sucked last night. Over 10 million eligible voters sat on the couches eating ketchup chips instead of getting up off their asses and casting their vote, making voter turnout at this really important election the lowest in Canadian history.

There's a shining ray of light on Toronto today... we're going solar in a big way. Two local companies have been contracted to deliver solar energy to the City, and the kicker is that it's not going to cost us any more than conventional sources.

You know what the people of this city needs more of, immediately? Not SUV limos, that's for sure.

Construction workers had a scare yesterday when their skyscraper scaling scaffold got stuck on more than 20-storeys up. Luckily they were able to get themselves loose without any crazy Hollywood blockbuster rescue needed.
