Eight boys, all 12 and 13-years old, have been charged with sexual assault after allegedly cornering and groping four 13-year old girls at a Toronto school. Some parents are furious about the actions of the boys; while others are furious that the incident has been blown out of proportion and that the kids were only playing.
Apparently Vaughan harbors naughty people. Police think that they may have nabbed the beer truck bandit there. Also in the northern suburb, authorities responding to a fire stumbled upon what may be the largest debit card fraud operation in Canada.
Ontario NDP leader Howard Hampton lashed out at the media for focusing too much of their efforts on their coverage on the faith-based school issue neglecting the real issues like child poverty and a failing health care system.
Here's a wild idea to improve on pedestrian safety: eliminate all traffic and road signs, making the streets a free-for-all thereby "appeal[ing] to the human ability to collectively solve problems". Apparently it works.
