This would be a 7/10 on the meter

Refugee Ranks Too Low On Gay-O-Meter to Stay

UPDATE: Orozco has been granted a deportation delay.

Ripping open a giant can of worms, with her teeth, adjudicator Deborah Lamont decided that Nicaraguan refugee Alvaro Antonio Orozco simply isn't gay enough to stay in Toronto, and should get the boot. And just how did this brilliant mind come to the obvious conclusion? It seems you have to get laid before your 21st birthday. Possibly multiple times with multiple partners, actually, as she doesn't go into detail on how many points you score on the meter per partner.

Outrage grew all the more because interviews with Orozco were conducted through video conferencing; Lamont was in Calgary the whole time. Was the human element so far removed that the adjudicator forgot that regardless of Orozco's sexuality he was victim of frequent violence because of who he was, and would likely come to face worse circumstances should he be sent back? WTF man...

Update: Click here for Alvaro's support campaign website. Thanks "other" Ryan!
