Today Porter Airlines will begin new Ottawa-bound flights from the Island Airport, and has plans to expand the service to include flights to Montreal, New York and Chicago . Downtowners will be able to get to the nation's capital quicker, but what's more intriguing is how this news will be handled by more local politicos.

In what sounds more like an episode of Cold Cases or CSI, Ontario Provincial Police near North Bay acted on new tips from recent media reports and recovered the bodies of two people that went missing while boating over 50 years ago.
