Upcoming Conference on Gender and Migration

For all interested in critical thinking about migration and all who love justice, FCJ Refugee Centre is holding a day-long event next Thursday September 28th.

Thursday, September 28th, 2006 (from 9 am to 9 pm) at The Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto (10 Trinity Square, behind the Eaton Centre)

The afternoon features two breakout sessions, Dreaming and Strategizing, aimed at developing our images of a just system, and planning collective actions to bring them closer to reality.

Facilitators and Commentators include Maureen Silcoff, Kemi Jacobs Francisco Rico-Martinez, Alejandra Priego, and Sister Lois-Anne Bordowitz.

The event also plays host to performance art by Julie Lassonde, a stunning performance art installation by Amanta Scott, and in the evening, Tiempos Nuevos Teatro from El Salvador will entertain participants with their award-winning play "Once Upon a Time a King".
