Steve Maclean of Montreal became the second Canadian to walk in space this morning. The laser physicist was part of a two-man team that was freeing up a new set of solar arrays that supply power to the International Space Station.

It was only revealed last week that the whole thing was a social experiment concocted by three twentysomething Californians. Some people just have too much time on their hands...
