TIFF picks box 66

Attention pass holders for the Toronto International Film Festival: the random lottery held this afternoon designated Box 66 as the starting box for filling orders, out of 75 total boxes. I turned my order in at around 8:30 this morning and wound up in box 36; I suspect that means the lucky folks in Box 66 probably handed in their picks shortly before the closing of the box office at 1:00 this afternoon.

For those utterly confused by the preceding statements, TIFF's ticket orders for pass holders will start being processed from Box 66 today, work their way through 75, before jumping to Box 1 and working up to Box 65. (Box 65 is definitely not the box to be in today.) What box you're in will impact how many of your first choice and second choice tickets you end up receiving next week.

Not to worry, though; I did way worse last year, and still ended up with about 80% of my first picks.
