Massive Queen East parking lot could become a condo

With new condos springing up in all corners of Toronto, it may come as no surprise that the parking lot at Queen Street East and Shuter Street (just east of Church Street) is ripe for a makeover.

While there doesn't appear to be development application on file with the city yet, Urban Toronto is reporting that the relatively massive lot will likely become a nearly 30-storey condo.

Two renderings from two different companies have emerged for the site, which Urban Toronto refers to as 88 Queen. One shows a 29-storey building while the other depicts a 25-storey glass tower.

As Urban Toronto notes, none of the details have been confirmed yet, so it'll be interesting to see what ends up happening with this centrally located lot.
