According to a recent report by the Toronto Real Estate Board, the new price for a detached home in the 416 just skyrocketed to $1.15 million, up 18 percent since last year. Technically, this charming abode is only slightly above the average.

GOOD FOR

Outdoor entertaining. The family room has floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the back patio and lawn. It's a private fenced-in yard with tall shrubs and trellises so you no longer have to look away from your neighbour's hanging laundry.

MOVE ON IF

You don't want a skylight in your bedroom. While visually stunning, the master features a skylight which doesn't seem necessary with all the windows and makes for a very noisy rainfall.
