The PATH extension to Queens Quay is now open

The PATH just got longer. You can now walk underground from Dundas and Bay all the way to Queens Quay, which is actually quite impressive when you think about it. The latest extension isn't so polished in some places (it passes through buildings currently under construction), but it's a very cool spot to look down on Lake Shore Blvd. and the Gardiner Expressway.

The official opening date isn't for a while, so the meandering passage is quiet right now, which makes it feel at least somewhat secret. That will all change as word gets out that it's open (sorry to those who have enjoyed quiet lunchtime strolls here) and when construction wraps on Waterpark Place, which will eventually be home to thousands of RBC employees. In the meantime, it's now possible to access the waterfront from Union Station without stepping outdoors.
