Your morning news roundup for Monday November 12th, 2007:

Toronto remembers.

Family Day, our newest statutory holiday, will come to Toronto at an estimated cost of $2.3million (not including lost productivity). Should we feel guilty, or happy to spend time with our loved ones?

With our environment as royally screwed as it already is, and our energy problems only getting worse, I find it hard to believe that legislators are still arguing over clotheslines. Let the people hang dry their clothes!

Bicycles purchased after December 1st will cost less, thanks to the PST being taken off your bill. The move will cost the province $25million but will hopefully encourage behaviour that will save us more.

Does the entire garage really need to be heated? A new $92million TTC garage that can accommodate 200 buses is nearing completion, but it will cost $300,000 - 600,000/year just to heat it.

Friday's Crossroads Puzzle answer: Dixon Rd & Carlingview

I have intensive zero-gravity training to complete all week, so the Morning Brew will continue for the rest of this week courtesy of the charming Ryan C.
