vidTO: De-icing Planes at Pearson Airport

Today's coming wintery mix of nasty freezing rain/snow can cause serious problems for air travel. Here's one more little known reason to be a proud Torontonian.

This video (presumably an initiation/training video) teaches you everything you wanted to know (and a lot more than you wanted to know) about the de-icing of planes.

Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport is "home to the largest and most technically advance centralized de-icing facility (CDF) in the world!" Ooooh! As many as six 747s or ten Airbus A320s and 2 Dash-8s can be de-iced simultaneously. Ahhhhh. After watching this video I feel like I could be the next "iceman", but I'll settle for lo-tech car windsheild scraping.
