I Want Rhythm Says We'll Be Dancing In the Streets

The infamous Martha and the Vandellas song came to life along Bloor West today as I Want Rhythm organizer Nicole Stoffman dances with participant Trevor Homeniuk, both not afraid to swing to some Ella Fitzgerald outside H&M.

The fourth event is supposed to encourage people in stores to come dancing out on the sidewalk as a use of public space using the store's music. Some smiles after today's Santa Claus parade towards the brigade of four, toe-tapping along the strip, but also some raised eyebrows and confused faces.

If you can't stop dancing at home and have been practicing your best Fergie moves, or if you, like me, have two left feet, Stoffman encourages folks to come out to some of I Want Rhythm's next events held in the winter.

After all, snow boots against packing snow can make their own great music.
