Buskerfest 2006 Kicks Off Today

Buskerfest 2006 Celebrates Street Performers

Street performers from all over the world will assemble around the St. Lawrence Market this weekend for the 2006 Toronto Buskerfest, celebrating the best of the best of public entertainers from across the globe. Comedians, magicians, mimes, jugglers, acrobats, and scores of other artists will take to the streets around the market to showcase their talents.

The festival began this afternoon, with performers getting set up to entertain the thousands of people expected to pass through the area. My regular camera decided today was a good day for it to run out of battery charge, so I pulled out my trusty camerphone and took a few photos.
