Xmas woes and Live with Culture

I was still trying to figure out what to get people for Christmas when I had an idea. Instead of movie passes, why not dance or theatre tickets? And since LOTR is grossly expensive I thought I would look at getting tickets to shows to Toronto companies.

Therein lay a problem.

While Toronto's much touted Live with Culture website provides an alphabetical list of all(?) of Toronto's art galleries as well as puppet, theatre, and dance companies it does not divide them up by genre. Hrumph. So I am forced to look them up by venue. Trouble is, I know that I am missing alot of good stuff - because of the lack of mid sized houses, performers are forced to book church basements et. al.

Hrumph.

Anyway, I will post later with a list of ideas.
